Tina: The Tina Turner Musical at Bord Gáis Energy Theatre

Running until June 14, Tina: The Tina Turner Musical is on its first Irish tour and playing at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre. The production features dynamic performances by Ohene MacCarthy and Elle Ma-Kinga N’Zuzi, bringing to life the incredible journey of the legendary twelve-time Grammy winner. The show traces Turner’s rise from her early days in Tennessee to global superstardom with hits such as Proud Mary, What’s Love Got to Do With It, and Private Dancer.

Tickets are priced between €41 and €63 and are available through Ticketmaster.

Drink and Draw Nights in Smithfield

Art enthusiasts can take part in two creative evenings hosted by Alternative Dublin over the bank holiday weekend. On Friday, May 30, Dublin Pottery & Tufting will host a Drink and Draw session focused on painting in the style of Pablo Picasso. The following evening, Saturday, May 31, Dublin’s Gen Bar will offer a themed drawing night inspired by American pop artist Chappell Roan.

All art materials and expert guidance are provided. Entry costs €25, and participants must be of legal drinking age.

Silent Disco Tours Around Dublin City Centre

For a fun and quirky twist on sightseeing, Silent Disco Tours invite participants to don headphones and dance their way through Dublin’s landmarks on a 60-minute guided journey. On Saturday, May 31, the National Gallery hosts a Youth Lab in the Merrion Square Forecourt, offering postcard-making activities inspired by summer. On Sunday, June 1, families can join artist Jane Bowe in the Shaw Room to create a summer garden inspired by works from William Leech, Emil Nolde, and Evie Hone. The session welcomes children of all ages, with materials provided. The activity runs from 11:30am and is open-ended.

Rewind Festival at St Anne’s Park

Rewind Festival returns on June 1 at St Anne’s Park, featuring headline performance by Billy Ocean. The one-day event also includes The Boomtown Rats, Toyah, Tiffany, Boyzlife, ABC, Midge Ure, and Matt Goss. Gates open at 2pm; children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are still available, ranging from €55 to €75.

Dublin City Inclusion and Integration Week

Dublin City Council continues its celebration of diversity with a variety of inclusive events throughout the bank holiday weekend. Highlights include the Cabra Library Film Club on Friday, May 30, and an Inclusive Dance and Fitness Workshop in Dublin 8 on Saturday, May 31. Tickets cost €10, with proceeds supporting the Palestine Red Crescent Society. The event will also feature a pop-up shop from These People, donating their profits to the cause.
