The Singapore Sports Hub is opening its doors to families and communities this June school holiday season, offering a range of recreational and educational activities designed to promote active lifestyles and quality family time.
Running through June 22, the lineup of free and ticketed programs includes everything from inflatable playgrounds and cycling workshops to cultural crafts and sporting heritage tours.
Giant Inflatable Playground Set for Two Weekends
One of the main highlights is the Giant Inflatable Playground at the National Stadium, available from June 13 to 15 and again from June 20 to 22. Featuring large-scale inflatables—including a 16-meter-long Bumboat Ballpit inspired by Singapore’s river heritage—this attraction is designed for children of all ages.
Additional inflatable castles themed with safari animals, unicorns, and other whimsical designs aim to engage young imaginations. Entry is free, though advance registration is required. The playground operates daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and all participants must wear socks.
Public Access to National Stadium Track
Fitness enthusiasts can also take advantage of free access to the National Stadium’s running track, which is open to the public through June 22. Families and individuals are welcome to jog or walk the iconic venue from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on June 13–15 and June 20–22, and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on all other days.
Visitors are encouraged to capture their experience with photos set against the backdrop of the stadium’s distinctive architecture.
Beginner Cycling Workshop
On June 14 and 15, the Sports Hub will host a free beginner cycling workshop led by certified coaches from the Singapore Cycling Federation. Open to participants aged 10 and above, the program will cover basic skills such as balance, control, and road safety. Slots are limited and require registration.
Complimentary Refreshments
To help families beat the tropical heat, free ice cream and drinks will be available on June 14–15 and June 21–22, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., across the Sports Hub grounds.
Special Father’s Day Kayaking Activity
In celebration of Father’s Day, the Sports Hub is organizing “Paddles with Pops”, a kayaking event at the Water Sports Centre on June 15. Fathers and children can participate in a Kayak Orientation Programme designed for bonding and outdoor recreation. The activity is priced at S$50 per pair, and registration is required. Sessions run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Explore Sports History and Traditional Crafts
In conjunction with Children’s Season, the Singapore Sports Museum will launch a series of educational programs beginning June 14. Children can complete activity booklets and collect stamps while learning about Singapore’s sporting milestones.
Additionally, from June 14 to July 6, families can take part in Shadow Play: Wayang Kulit Crafts, a free, drop-in session where children create and decorate traditional shadow puppets, while discovering the art of Southeast Asian storytelling.
Admission to the museum and activities is free for Singapore citizens and permanent residents.
