Haven Holidays, one of the UK’s leading holiday park operators, has announced a major £10 million refurbishment of its Kent Coast resort, aiming to significantly enhance visitor experiences with new facilities and attractions.
The extensive upgrade will see the introduction of a state-of-the-art swimming complex, featuring a splash activity zone and a thrilling falling rapids slide. Additionally, the current outdoor pool will be converted into a spacious indoor pool, expanding year-round aquatic options for guests.
This latest investment builds on recent improvements at the Kent Coast site, including the addition of a modern 1,200-seat entertainment venue equipped with large screens, an outdoor terrace, and a new bar and kitchen. The holiday park’s arcade has also been revamped, complementing the Creative Studio space where guests can participate in activities such as pottery making and ‘Make a Bear’ workshops.
Alongside the swimming facilities upgrade, Haven has further expanded its amenities through a £1.35 million investment in a new J D Wetherspoon pub, The London Stone, which opened in March. This is part of a larger £6.7 million partnership initiative with the pub chain that has also seen new venues open at Devon Cliffs, Cleethorpes Beach, and Haggerston Castle holiday parks.
The J D Wetherspoon collaboration forms part of an overarching £8.3 million investment in 2025 to enhance food and beverage offerings across Haven’s portfolio. Among recent additions are new Burger King outlets at Hopton Holiday Park and Lakeland Holiday Park.
With these developments, Haven Holidays reinforces its position as a premier UK holiday provider, promising guests an engaging and varied experience throughout the year.
