According to the latest annual Smarter Summer Report from travel search engine Skyscanner, 76 percent of British holidaymakers plan to take more vacations in the upcoming season.
Despite many yet to finalize their bookings, there remain affordable options for travellers willing to be flexible with their destination choices. Skyscanner’s research reveals that three-quarters of respondents are open to visiting lesser-known locations instead of popular tourist hotspots to save money.
Among the bargain destinations, Fez, Morocco stands out as an affordable option for July, with return flights from London Stansted priced at £102 per person. Accommodation at the four-star Riad Dar Pierre, including breakfast, can be secured for £371 for two guests. This makes a week-long stay in Fez a viable and budget-friendly summer holiday.
The report highlights that a variety of other destinations in Europe and beyond offer similarly competitive prices during the peak summer months of June, July, and August. UK travellers can enjoy memorable holidays for less than £500 per person, combining both flights and accommodation.
