In a move to provide uninterrupted emergency assistance during the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha holidays, Rescue 1122 has cancelled all leaves for its staff. This decision aims to guarantee timely and effective response to any emergencies faced by citizens during the festive period.
The district emergency service has developed a comprehensive operational plan, which was reviewed in a recent meeting chaired by District Emergency Officer Engineer Fasihullah. The meeting was attended by all station in-charges and heads of relevant departments to ensure coordinated efforts.
According to a spokesperson for Rescue 1122, multiple teams have been established to remain on alert around the clock throughout the Eid holidays. Ambulances, fire vehicles, and motorbike ambulances will be strategically deployed at all major Eid prayer sites to facilitate swift medical and rescue operations.
Additionally, diving teams will patrol key water bodies, including the Indus River, Bhakkar Road Lake, and CRBC Canal, to prevent drowning incidents and enhance public safety.
Citizens are urged to immediately report any emergencies by calling the Rescue 1122 helpline at 1122 or the alternate contact number 0966-715166.
