All immigration offices across Thailand will be closed for a four-day period from Friday, May 9, through Monday, May 12, in observance of two national holidays.
The closures begin Friday with the Royal Ploughing Ceremony Day, followed by the weekend, and extend through Monday, which marks the substitution day for Visakha Bucha Day. Government offices, including immigration services, will resume normal operations on Tuesday, May 13, at 8:30 a.m.
Foreign nationals whose visa or stay permissions are set to expire during the holiday will not face penalties, provided they renew or extend their documents in accordance with immigration regulations on Tuesday, May 13.
In addition, individuals due to complete their 90-day address reporting at an immigration office are reminded that this requirement may be fulfilled within a 21-day window—14 days before and 7 days after the due date.
