The Cabinet has officially declared Sunday, May 25, as a public holiday in honor of Jordan’s 79th Independence Day.
Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan issued a directive on Sunday, confirming that all ministries, public institutions, government departments, public universities, municipalities, joint service councils, the Greater Amman Municipality, and state-owned enterprises will cease operations for the day.
The announcement also specified that certain institutions, where operations require ongoing service, will be exempt from the holiday.
