Rescue 1122 has cancelled Eid-ul-Azha holidays for its staff across the district to ensure uninterrupted emergency services during the festive period, officials confirmed Friday.

A comprehensive emergency response plan has been finalized following a meeting chaired by District Emergency Officer Engineer Fasihullah. The session was attended by station in-charges and heads of relevant departments.

According to a spokesperson for Rescue 1122, dedicated emergency teams will be on 24/7 duty throughout the Eid holidays. The deployment includes ambulances, fire vehicles, and motorbike ambulances at all major Eid prayer sites to ensure rapid response in the event of any medical or fire-related emergencies.

Special arrangements have also been made to prevent drowning incidents during the holidays. Trained diving teams will be stationed at high-risk locations including the Indus River, Bhakkar Road Lake, and CRBC Canal.

“Rescue 1122 is fully prepared to respond to any emergency situation,” the spokesperson said, urging citizens to stay vigilant and cooperate with emergency personnel.

The public is advised to contact Rescue 1122 through its official helpline (1122) or the alternative number (0966-715166) in case of an emergency.
