The district administration has restricted access to two major public parks in the capital—Lake View Park and Daman-e-Koh—allowing entry to families only during the three days of Eid al-Adha.
The decision, announced via an official notification on Friday, is aimed at ensuring effective crowd control and maintaining security during the holiday period.
“These measures have been taken in the public interest to manage large gatherings and ensure a safe environment for families,” the notification stated.
The directive will be in effect throughout the Eid celebrations, with authorities urging visitors to cooperate with park staff and security personnel. Entry will be denied to individuals and groups not accompanied by family members.
Meanwhile, members of the Bohra community across Pakistan marked Eid al-Adha today with traditional fervor. In Karachi, a large congregation gathered at Taheri Mosque, where prayers were offered for peace and prosperity in the country.
