Sindh Government Announces 2025 Summer Vacation Schedule

by Bella

The Sindh Education Department has officially announced the summer vacation schedule for 2025, confirming that all public and private schools across the province will remain closed from June 1 to July 31.

The announcement comes amid intensifying seasonal heat and rising concerns over public health. However, department officials have dismissed speculation about the possibility of starting the holidays earlier due to the ongoing heat wave, affirming that schools will follow the pre-determined break.

The scheduled vacation offers students and educators a much-needed respite during what is expected to be another challenging summer. Meteorologists and climate experts continue to raise alarms over the escalating impact of global warming, which has increasingly disrupted weather patterns and led to more frequent heatwaves and other natural disasters. Pakistan remains among the countries most vulnerable to climate change, prompting coordinated responses from both educational and health authorities.

Summer vacations in Sindh are not only a time for rest but also an opportunity for personal growth and recreation. Many families travel to cooler regions such as Murree, Swat, and Hunza to escape the oppressive heat. Others engage in cultural, educational, or spiritual activities, with cities like Karachi and Lahore often hosting food festivals, art fairs, and community events throughout the summer months.

The Education Department emphasized the importance of students using the break to relax, spend quality time with family, and explore productive interests before the academic calendar resumes in August.
